Reina was born in China and moved to Canada when she was 6 years old. She currently lives in Calgary, Alberta. She is 13 years old and in grade 8, studying at Griffith Woods School. She lives with her younger brother and parents.
Reina’s father first came to Canada in 2013 then Reina and her mother in 2015. Her father came to see if there were any jobs and what the country was like. He stayed in Toronto for 6 months then went back to China. Reina moved to Calgary when she was about to begin 1st grade. She did not speak English but slowly learned. In the beginning she would not talk to anybody except for her friends and a tiny bit to teachers. But soon started talking more.
After a few years of settling in she began trying new instruments and sports. She has tried violin for a few years but it was not right for her. She also tried Gymnastics when she was 8 for a few years. She enjoyed it but not enough to continue. She is still trying new things and seeing what she likes.
Reina enjoys playing badminton, tennis, and reading in her spare time. She started playing badminton when she was 5 years old and tennis when she was 9 years old. She also enjoys travelling to new places and seeing new things. She’s been to Los Angeles, Denver and Guangzhou and more!
