Book Review of Orange

My beek review of the manga Orange

Hello my name is Ashton and this is my book review of Orange. To start off this book Ichigo Takano immediately throws you into the story of high school students: Takamiya Naho, Hiroto Suwa, Takako Chino, Saku Hagita, Azusa Murasaka and Kakeru Naruse. These high school students were tasked with a difficult task the year before to save Kakeru from suicide. The only person who we know actually has a letter is Naho. This is a heart wrenching love story that WILL i guarantee you will take you on an emotional rollercoaster.

Mystery, Love, Suspense, these are all things that Ichigo Takano Whelms you with in this book as these teens get letters supposedly from their future selves. The high schools students are faced with a hard to believe task and really don't listen to the letters but as every thing in the letter begins to happen in front of their eyes they need to start listening to the letter, then the day after the entrance ceremony a new student named Naruse Kakeru joins the school they make a mistake that will change the course of their lives. They do the opposite of what the letter says and invite the new student to walk home with them. Later we learn that that day his mom suicided because he was supposed to take her to the hospital for a check up but was mentally unstable and when he did not show up she killed herself. Then Naho takes the letter seriously and she is on a mission to save him and she falls in love with him. After almost a year of this her friends reveal that they got letters to! Together they try to save Kakeru and secretly make Naho and Kakeru Fall in love. In the second book the friends have teamed up to save Kakeru and are getting to the determining point on new years eve in the past Naho and Kakeru had a fight and Kakeru thinks it's his fault and dies the day after. In this time period they must not fight… they do. Then when all hope seems lost Suwa who in the past was the one who married Naho now must make it better between Naho and Kakeru. In the nick of time he gives Naho courage to tell Kakeru how she feels. But everything was to be decided on the next day.

They go to the spot where the last Kakeru died and wait, they see Kakeru on the road where he was supposed to die. They see a truck. Kakeru seems to die. But as they move closer he gets up saying he didn't want to die. They save him in the end.
