I watched 3 movies from the 2000s and the 1990s. The movies I watched were: High School Musical(2006), Clueless(1995), and Coyote Ugly(2000). I will be ranking the main characters from each movie from my least favorite to my favorite.
*All of the characters are amazing, these are my opinions.*
I'm going to start with ranking the boys.
7. Ryan Evans (High School Musical)
Ryan, he’s a good character but he is more on the mean side, he helps Sharpay in sabotaging Troy and Gabriella and he can be quite mean, it’s kind of like he thinks only he can be the drama boy and Troy has to be the basketball player. Played by Lucas Grabeel.
6. Christian Stovitz (Clueless)
Christian, to be honest, I think Christian and Ryan are tied, Christian seems to act really weird and I'm not sure what I think about him. He’s gay and he didn’t tell anyone, so lots of girls hit on him and he just let them. He is a really great friend to Cher and they share a lot of hobbies. Played by Justin Walker.
5. Chad Danforth (High School Musical)
Chad plays a huge role in the High School Musical Series, but in the first movie, he is very stereotypical. He thinks that if you do one thing that's your thing and you can’t do anything else. For example, Troy can only do basketball. But Chad does something wrong and he realizes it, after that he realizes that you can be anything you want to be. Played by Corbin Bleu.
4. Josh Lucas (Clueless)
Josh, is a good character overall but he does not express much emotion, he is Cher’s ex-stepbrother, there is not a lot to review on him, but towards the end, he becomes a really good character. Played by Paul Rudd
3. Bill Sanford (Coyote Ugly)
Bill, can be harsh and all but overall he’s a great character, Bill was not very keen when Violet decided to move to NYC for her career, he refuses to do lots of things like go on his diet and he’s not very supportive of Violet’s career but towards the end of the movie, he gives her pep talks and encourages her to follow her dream. Played by John Goodman.
2. Kevin O’Donnell (Coyote Ugly)
Kevin, great character, nothing bad to say about him, he is very encouraging to h1elp Violet with her career, and he really wants Violet to pursue her dreams, he can be super protective of her but that's OK. Played by Adam Garcia.
Troy Bolton (High School Musical)
Troy, he's an awesome character he could make a huge difference in other people's lives, he shows that you can be whoever you want to be. His passion is basketball and he found a new hobby of singing. Played by the one and only Zac Efron.

12. Rachel (Coyote Ugly)
Rachel works as one of the Coyotes and is very aggressive, but she plays a good role. I'm not 100% sure if she's the main character but I put her there, she does not like Violet but if someone would make a rude comment she would put them in their place. Played by Bridget Moynahan.
11. Lil (Coyote Ugly)
Lil, is a good character but she is a little bit off in a way, she can be quite mean and she fires people for the littlest things. She really warms up to Violet towards the end of the movie. At the end of the movie, she becomes really supportive of Violet's career. Played by Maria Bello.
10. Cammie (Coyote Ugly)
Cammie, is a super good character and she is super pretty, she can be kind of dumb. She helps Violet with a lot of things and she is not mean, she would be nice to pretty much anyone. Played by Izabella Miko.
9. Taylor McKessie (High School Musical)
Taylor, is definitely not my favorite character but she's good in her own ways, she really really wants Gabriella on her team but Gabriella does not want to be the smartie pants of the school, Taylor does not respect that she will do anything to get Gabriella on her team when she teams up with Chad she feels really bad, her character becomes a lot better in the other movies. Played by Monique Coleman.
8. Dionne Davenport (Clueless)
Dion is a really really great character, she acts at first like she does not like the new girl and she does not like the idea of becoming friends with her. She is rich like Cher, and she is a great friend to her. I really don't have much to say about her. Played by Stacey Dash.
7. Kelsi Neilson (High School Musical)
Kelsi is a super shy person and writes the music for all of the musicals. She writes the songs for Troy and Gabriella, she can be afraid of people but towards the end of the movie, she gains confidence and is able to stand up for herself. She is also a really good piano player. Played by Olesya Rulin.
6. Ms. Darbus (High School Musical)
Ms. Darbas, is a very unique character in her own way, she can be super strict and gives a lot of detention to people, and she runs the musical. She is actually an amazing character and makes the movie so much better. Played by Alyson Reed.
5. Sharpay Evans (High School Musical)
Sharpay, such an amazing character she is unique in her own way and she is super determined to get roles in musicals, she and her twin brother Ryan really really want the part in the musical so they do anything they can to play the part- even if it means pushing the callbacks back…………… Played by Ashley Tisdale.
4. Tai Frasier (Clueless)
Tai, comes as the new girl with horrible fashion sense, and then she becomes one of the most popular girls in school, Tai only becomes the most popular girl because Cher and Dionne give her a makeover. Played by Brittany Murphy.
3. Gabriella Montez (High School Musical)
Gabriella and Troy meet at a New Years Party and then she moves to Albuquerque, New Mexico which just so happens to be where Troy lives. They go to the same school and make callbacks without even auditioning. Played by Vanessa Hudgens.
Cher Horowitz (Clueless)
Cher is by far one of the best characters out of all the movies I watched, she has this unique personality and she has a distinct fashion sense. She lives in Beverly Hills with her father who is a lawyer. She has a hobby of giving makeovers and she develops a hobby of helping others. Played by Alicia Silverstone.
Violet Sanford (Coyote Ugly)
Violet, I had a lot of trouble choosing between Violet and Cher, I decided that I like Violet a bit better. She is a very shy person and she has this dream of becoming a songwriter, she moves to New York from New Jersey and no one seems to want to hire her. She finds this nightclub and she gets a job there. She sings songs along with the jukebox. She meets this guy who is constantly trying to help her. She ends up becoming a professional songwriter at the end of the movie. I think Violet has an amazing story and it tells people that no matter how hard you try you can always pursue your dreams. Played by Piper Perabo.
